Estaré activa durante el día de hoy 25 de Noviembre y durante el fin de semana 26-27 Noviembre, con el indicativo especial ED1HLW, ( Día Internacional contra la Violencia de Género)..espero escucharos en las bandas 73 !!!
Being active during the day November 25 and during the weekend 26 to 27 November with the special callsign ED1HLW.
They can see us and hear us live here :
The General Assembly has designated 25 November International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and has invited governments, international organizations and NGOs to organize on that day activities designated to raise public awareness on the problem (resolution 54/134 of 17 December 1999). Women's activists have marked 25 November as a day against violence since 1981. The date came from the brutal 1961 assassination of the three Mirabal sisters, political activists in the Dominican Republic, on orders of Dominican ruler Rafael Trujillo

SYLRA 2011 CONTEST - SV2KBS SUMMARY
Hi gals ! Here is what I did this weekend, was QRV on voice and CW:
Band Mode QSOs Pts Mlt
7 CW 96 200 31
14 CW 61 122 24
14 USB 239 526 40
21 CW 17 34 8
21 USB 290 636 38
28 CW 71 142 23
28 USB 265 570 33
Total Both 1039 2230 197
Score: 439.310
Well, if I compare this to my last year's effort, it's really clear that this year I was SERIOUSLY lazy :-)
What made big difference this year's contest was the excellent condx: 10m was wide open all day long, logged 5 VK's there; well, that feels really exotic to hams like me that got licensed at the bottom of solar activity !
Unfortunately I had a glitch with my computer at the beginning of the contest which did not allow me to operate any CW during the first hours, something that really freaked me out - fortunately this was ressolved later on thanks to my radiobuddy Telis SV2HWR.
Worked lots of YLs, namely: G0AJJ, OZ7AGR, DL1BYL, ON6AN, VK9CX (DL7AFS), SQ2OTS, VU2SWS, DL1ICB, G0NVP, DK2YL, IN3FHE, OH6LC, DJ1TE, IK7NYD, DN1XC, IZ5BRO.
I know from the DX Cluster that I missed DL5YL, OZ7EA, EA1HLW, EB5JTK and PA5YL Chantal. Buuu, hopefully next time !
All in all, it was fun: had a great time visiting good buddies at Thessaloniki; I also feel thankful to SV2BFN for his hospitality and for letting me operate from his shack once more !
